Example Grocery List

When you organize your grocery list by section of the store, you can more quickly find what you need, and get in and out. Based on the recipe I’ve provided you with, here is how I would recommend writing out your grocery list.

Produce

garlic

kale (or other green)

1 large cucumber (preferably English cucumber)

1-2 pints cherry tomatoes

Non-Produce

1 jar roasted red peppers

almonds

red wine vinegar

extra virgin olive oil

quinoa

Tips

  • If you’re getting things like meat and dairy, you can also separate your list out even more by section. When you go into each section and know exactly what you need, you aren’t running around the store, going back and forth to find everything you need.

  • I recommend making a hand-written grocery list like this every time you go to the store. The reason I like a hand written list, is because a phone list can be very distracting. Every time I go on my phone, I’m tempted to check email, Facebook, etc. With a paper list, you can keep focused, and spend minimal time at the grocery store.
